About Perth Rigging Courses

A basic rigging course is for those who need a High Risk Work Licence for Basic rigging (RB class) provided by WorkSafe WA.

These courses run for four full days. When you attend, you complete your theoretical and practical training before completing a written assessment of your calculations and carrying out a practical assessment.

Rigging Perth Courses -  General Information 

  • Length: Courses are usually four full days at a training centre.

  • Course Style: Face-to-face preparation and evaluation at a training centre. You complete an estimate, a written and a realistic evaluation.

  • This type of competency unit is nationally recognized and upon successful completion each participant who completes a course will be given a Statement of Attainment for CPCCLRG3001A – Licence to perform basic rigging. Effective completion will allow each participant to apply for a Basic Rigging (RB class) High Risk Work Licence with WorkSafe WA.

Typical Course Entry Requirements

  • Hold an active and current High Risk Dogging Work License (DG class) OR the current Notice of Assessment for DG issued by the WorkSafe Assessor AND the Statement of Attainment for CPCCLDG3001A – Performing Dogging License.
  • Have 2 identifying forms-1 x major, 1 x secondary OR 2 x primary. All IDs supplied must be valid for at least one month of validity.
  • Be able to understand, read and write English and learn mathematical formulae and calculations.
  • Be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • If you have a valid high-risk licence issued in a state other than WA, you must carry it with you on the day of your course.
