Elevating Work Platform (WP) Training Course  

Topics covered on course :

• OH&S, Regulations and Duty of Care
• Conduct all pre-operational checks
• Produce a simple job plan
• State precautions to be considered when setting up, operating and shutting down the machine
• Demonstrate set up, operation and shut down
• Emergency decent procedures
• Demonstrate and explain the post operational checks required.

Suitability :
For persons over the age of 18. Students must also be free of any physical or medical condition that may affect the safe operation of a Elevating Work Platform and speak the english language to a level that would ensure safe operation in an Australian workplace.

Prerequisites :

• Prerequisite unit of competency: None
• Prerequisite High Risk Work Licence: None

Outcome :

• Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised unit of competency RIIHAN301A Operate elevating work platform
• High Risk Work Licence class WP: Boom Type Elevated Work platform operation (Boom length > 11 metres), issued by WorkSafe (WA)
