Basic Scaffolding Training Course (SB)  (TST Midland Only)

Topics covered on course :

• Occupational Health and Safety
• Prefabricated scaffolds
• Cantilevered hoists (materials only and not to exceed 500kg safe working limit)
• Ropes
• Gin Wheels
• Safety nets and static lines
• Bracket scaffold (tank and framework)

Suitability :
For persons over the age of 18. Students must also be free of any physical or medical condition that may affect the safe undertaking of Basic Scaffolding, and speak the english language to a level that would ensure safe operation in an Australian workplace.

Prerequisites :

• Prerequisite unit of competency: UEPOPS201A Comply with Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures
• Prerequisite High Risk Work Licence Class: None

Outcome :

• Statement of Attainment for the nationally recognised units of competency UEPOPS215A Perform basic scaffolding and UEPOPS201A Comply with OH&S policy and procedures
• High Risk Work Licence class SB: Basic Scaffolding, issued by WorkSafe (WA)
